Drill through ring bit system combines a conventional rock bit into a casing advance system. In projects where rock sockets are needed and the foundations are deep, it can save time when there is no need to change the pilot bit with a rock bit. Instead, it is possible to go through overburden and drill a rock socket into bedrock with the same ring bit set.
The system is available from 114 to 1 524 mm casings and for all major shank designs. It uses Spiral Flush technology, offering class-leading safety in overburden drilling. The drill through system can also be delivered with a non-DT pilot.

In drill through systems, the pilot bit, after unlocking, can be drilled through the ring bit. This can save time in deep foundations that require rock sockets, by eliminating the need to replace the pilot with a separate rock bit. This pile type is a modification of end-bearing piles for projects which have tensile loads, as rock sockets have an excellent grip in bedrock.
In most cases, however, our large ID system with a separate rock bit is the best option to drill rock sockets to sacrificed casing piles.
All Mincon casing systems are made with passion to drilling.
