Large ID ring bit system is used with sacrificed casings when there is a requirement to continue the hole after the casing is set. Large ID system is thus ideally suited to energy and water well drilling applications, where the drilling is continued through the ring bit with a separate small size rock bit. In piling, large ID system also allows maximum size rock sockets to be drilled through the ring bit, using large diameter rock bits.
The system is available from 114 to 660 mm casings and for all major shank designs. It uses Spiral Flush technology, offering class-leading safety in overburden drilling.

Large ID ring bit system is our most recommended tool for creating sacrificed casing piles with rock sockets. The large inner diameter of the ring bit allows for the maximum size rock bit to be drilled through the ring bit. This pile type is a modification of end-bearing piles for projects which have tensile loads, as rock sockets have an excellent grip in bedrock.
Another option for creating rock sockets in certain special cases is our drill through system.
Large ID ring bit system is also ideally suited to water and energy well drilling. Again, the large inner diameter of the ring bit gives the biggest possible space for the rock bit to drill through, which in turn offers more space for water pumps and collector pipes to be installed at the bottom of the well.
All Mincon casing systems are made with passion to drilling.
