On Site With Mincon
Getting the most from drilling equipment takes practical knowledge of the job, the ground and the tooling. Mincon’s drill masters, technical specialists and regional teams work alongside customers to help them put that knowledge into practice, with support that continues throughout the working life of their products.
Recent visits in South America and West Africa show how this approach works on the ground. In Brazil, Mincon colleagues have supported customer Tecnosonda on casing-system projects, drawing on expertise from Mincon Peru. Working across regional boundaries brings additional experience to the drill site and gives customers access to specialists familiar with their application.

In Senegal, Mincon West Africa colleagues Luis Falcón and Victor Gomez visited a customer site to deliver a bit-sharpening system. Tooling maintenance is an important part of drilling performance, and this practical support sits alongside the guidance Mincon teams provide on equipment selection and operation.
Knowledge sharing also extends beyond the drill site. Curt Dubbin from Mincon Inc travelled to Australia to share his horizontal directional drilling expertise, helping colleagues and customers build their understanding of Mincon’s HDD products and their applications.

Across these activities, the aim is consistent: to help customers use their Mincon equipment effectively and approach each job with informed, practical support. Teams can draw on experience from other regions while maintaining the local relationships that make advice relevant to the customer’s day-to-day work.
The relationship also informs Mincon’s engineering teams. Drilling reports and customer feedback help identify opportunities for product refinements, connecting experience in the field with ongoing development.
