Mincon has a proud history of supporting local communities through Social Impact, our global corporate social responsibility (CSR) programme. As part of this, the team at Mincon Canada’s North Bay factory spearheaded a successful community fundraiser in partnership with other businesses in the community in February 2025. This initiative raised $2,330 and collected 361 pounds of food for the North Bay Food Bank, surpassing our previous outcome for this fundraiser.
The collaborative effort was made possible by Mincon’s businesses neighbours in North Bay, namely Premier Mining, EMJ, and Service 1. Together, employees from these businesses hosted fundraising activities that included raffles with prizes such as hockey tickets donated by EMJ and tickets to a CIM event provided by Mincon. Additional contributions came from gift cards generously donated by employees from the companies. The landlord for the businesses at 400 Kirkpatrick Street, Joe Guido, generously matched the amount raised by employees, doubling the impact of their efforts.
Events like this reflect the core values of Mincon’s Social Impact programme, which is dedicated to creating sustainable and meaningful change in communities where we operate. By focusing on local needs and fostering partnerships, Mincon Canada continues to demonstrate its commitment to building stronger communities through targeted support and resourceful collaboration.
Belinda McDevitt, General Manager, Mincon Canada, North Bay Factory:
“It’s inspiring to see our team and partners come together to make a tangible difference for those in need. Supporting the North Bay Food Bank is just one example of how we live out Mincon’s mission to positively impact society.”
This initiative is one of many ongoing global efforts under Mincon’s CSR programme, which prioritises youth development, community support, and environmental sustainability in this countries and communities where we operate.
